Power2Go - These days it is quite difficult for companies to promote their disc burning suites. On one side, the current operation systems can handle simple disc burning tasks themselves, and on the other side, there are plenty of freeware tools available for special requirements. And we’ve come to expect everything from one ever since we were introduced to Nero. In spite of that CyberLink, is trying to one uip the competition with version 7 of their Power2Go burning suite. The complete version costs $38 (approx Rs 1,900), as much as Nero 10, which offers a larger functional range.
So what does Power2Go 7 have in its 220 MB installation package? Naturally, the user can burn all the formats you would expect in a burning suite. Besides CD, DVD and Blu-ray, Power2Go also burns the latest 128 GB Blu-ray BDXL discs, so you have yourself covered for future requirements. There were no difficulties for any of the media during the test. Thus, any disc can be burned with the new desktop gadget included with the package. You can place a small window on the desktop after installation, in which you can drag and drop files to be burnt. Video-DVD creates a similar easy-to-operate DVD authoring tool. The median can be supported now with strong 256-bit encoding so that the files are highly secure.
The Power2Go control concept is modern, coherent and never leaves the user alone. Cyberlink is especially proud of the new photo gallery. It functions very well, but the created slideshows can be reproduced only on PCs and individual albums can contain a maximum of 500 pictures. Also, there is no function to burn slide shows as video DVD. Even the standard cover editor feature is missing. Light-scribe and Labelflash support is available in Cyberlink either. The new Wave-editor works well; it is simple to use and is sufficient for small corrections and trimmings. Thus, individual audio recordings can be processed quickly before burning.
